Rent-a-RV to Provide Disaster Relief Housing for Hurricane Katrina Workers and Victims
September 6, 2005 -- Rent-a-RV sends it prayers to the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Rent-a-RV has started disaster relief efforts by providing temporary trailers until victims can establish a permanent residence.
To provide one temporary trailer cost around $13,000 to $16,000 and will sleep a family of 6 to 8 people. This program is directly funded by donations from public and private organizations. Your donations are welcome.
Donations can be as simple as a trailer or moterhome that you don’t use anymore or cash donation to purchase disaster relief units. Temporary housing has been estimated at six months or more. Rent-a-RV plans to enlist directly with FEMA to play a more direct role in the help to provide temporary housing on an ongoing basis.
Rent-a-RV will be working directly with insurance companies, contractors, and emergency crews to provide different types of shelters and command stations to help in the reconstruction of New Orleans and surrounding Hurricane related areas. Any organizations needing assistance should contact our customer service at 918-282-2319. Direct deliver of any travel trailer is available upon request.
