RV Rental Concession Comes to Sequoyah Resort Park

Wednesday, December 1st 2004
Campers, who want the recreational vehicle experience but donít have the RV, now have an opportunity to try one out at Sequoyah Resort Park, Wagoner, Oklahoma. Rent-A-RV, a private recreational vehicle company, has been approved to operate a concession at the park.

The company will deliver a recreational vehicle to a site at Sequoyah, set it up for the client and then take it away when the trip is over. Options include 28-foot trailers with slides, 17 to 19-foot travel trailers or pop-up campers. Three-day minimum rentals are required. Renters also pay campground and utility fees.

The program is the first of its kind in Oklahoma State Parks and is another example of the departmentís efforts to bring private sector entrepreneurs into the public system.

Rent-A-RV can be reached at (918) 282-2319 or on the internet at
Sequoyah Resort Park and Western Hills Guest Ranch are located eight miles east of Wagoner on SH-51. The park features RV and tent campsites, lodge rooms, cabins, and an 18-hole golf course.
